Delaware River from the Hawk's Nest

Delaware River from the Hawk's Nest

The Delaware River flows from Hancock, New York, to Cape May, New Jersey. It is the longest free-flowing river East of the Mississippi. Much of it is designated a Wild and Scenic River, hence protecting it from further development. This view from the highest road adjacent to the River, Route 97 in New York State, is at the Hawk’s Nest, an overlook a few miles West of Port Jervis, New York.
